In addition to our advisory services, AmplioGroup offers a specialized business discontinuation service. Many organizations eliminate business lines or offerings over time and the collection of outstanding receivables in such a situation can prove challenging.
Often the customers owing money will continue to do business with remaining business lines. This poses two equally unattractive options: writing off the debt or engaging collection agencies whose conduct can irretrievably damage the customer relationship.
AmplioGroup’s constructive approach to discontinued business enables collection of moneys owed and preservation, even strengthening, of the customer relationship. This is done through professional and conciliatory interaction with customers where issues are confronted and resolved to both parties satisfaction. Such engagements incorporate a dedicated AmplioGroup taskforce in place for a fixed duration and remunerated on a performance basis.

While metrics such as WACD, or even DSO, are useful gauges of receivables performance trends, they only present one aspect of a complex environment. Knowing how long, on average, customers are taking to settle their invoices is quite useful. However, this statistic is most relevant when it is compared with the average amount of time that they have been granted to pay. Clearly, for a comparison of credit period taken to credit period granted to be relevant identical data sources or samples must be compared.
