In some cases the Client requires external assistance to generate the improvements detailed in the review report. AmplioGroup is equipped and prepared to assist and spearhead the implementation effort as required. The implementation effort typically includes:
New or enhanced tools and reporting
Extensive functional training and “cash” education
Process or procedural evolution
Augmented communication processes
Strengthened internal controls and delegation of authority
AmplioGroup’s vast array of specialized metrics and reporting methodologies provide tremendous insight into performance and enable “early alert” of impending challenges.
Our educational services are modular in nature and enable greatly augmented organization wide cash awareness. Personnel learn the positive and negative consequences of behavior and workflow. Non-finance personnel become cash and finance aware. Among the various modules of education are:
“Cash College” – an education program that introduces the basics of working capital and cash flow
Precollection and Dispute Management – a receivables specific program that deals with early identification of
customer satisfaction issues and their effective management, resolution and measurement
Supplier relationship handling – a payables specific program focusing on managing supplier expectations
and safeguarding the treasury
Cash positive selling and contracting – an advanced program focusing on the optimization of customer
contracts to maximize cash benefits and to avoid cash traps
Cash positive purchasing – an advanced program that focuses on the optimization of supplier contracts.
The use of the modular approach (with widespread dissemination of sessions) provides a forum for sharing experiences and cases, improved awareness of roles and responsibilities and greater empathy for functional challenges.
Our implementation services serve to strengthen internal resources and knowledge bases rather than to reinvent them. We are, however, experienced in building shared service structures from ground zero where necessary or appropriate.
AmplioGroup’s Practitioners possess a vast range of experience and globally acknowledged expertise in best practices focusing on: sales management, order-to-collection processes, billing-to-payment processes, logistics (including reverse logistics and 3PL) as this applies to the A/R & A/P function. Our expertise enables a comprehensive optimization of all aspects of the working capital model as it pertains to A/R & A/P.

While metrics such as WACD, or even DSO, are useful gauges of receivables performance trends, they only present one aspect of a complex environment. Knowing how long, on average, customers are taking to settle their invoices is quite useful. However, this statistic is most relevant when it is compared with the average amount of time that they have been granted to pay. Clearly, for a comparison of credit period taken to credit period granted to be relevant identical data sources or samples must be compared.
